Watch the latest timelapse footage from The Natural History Museum’s Urban Nature Project, proudly supported by Workman, where the gardens are being transformed into a world-class urban green space.

Spring 2023 saw the Museum carefully lay down the foundations of the Urban Nature Project garden galleries…

🌳See an electric concrete pump laying the foundations for the garden café.

🌳Spot the outline of the learning centre emerging.

🌳Glimpse the construction of the new ponds, now ready for nature to move in.

These firm foundations will be built upon over summer as the Museum continues to construct the garden galleries.

The Museum’s five-acre site in South Kensington is being transformed into a welcoming, accessible and biologically diverse green space in the heart of London.

As part of the Urban Nature Project, the Museum is working to give people across the UK, no matter who they are or where they live, the motivation and tools to safeguard nature in towns and cities, so that people and planet can thrive.

Keep watch for the next update from the Natural History Museum.
